OAI Visual Branding Decorates Marlins Park with Environmental Graphics and Branding for 2016 Miami Beach Bowl
OAI Visual Branding transformed Marlins Park for the 2017 Miami Beach Bowl by creating and installing temporary environmental graphics and branding. Held on December 19, 2016, OAI worked in conjunction with the Miami Dade Sports Commission to decorate the venue with branded graphics. This year’s battle of the beach featured opponents, Central Michigan University and Tulsa State College for the organization’s second annual event.
OAI’s main challenge was concealing the baseball related areas at Marlins Park to become a functional football field for the Beach Bowl. OAI’s team started converting the park by using vinyl panels to cover the first and third base lines, as well as home base. OAI also created vinyl stencils and then painted the field with the Miami Beach Bowl brand on the center and ends of the field. Sponsors of the game were featured along the field walls which covered the wall pads already set up at Marlins Park. By using temporary vinyl graphics OAI helped the Miami Dade Sports Commission and Miami Beach Bowl achieve the look and feel of a football game.
Further sponsors were most noticeably seen across the giant mesh seat section covers measuring approximately 28’H x 20’w. These signage spots featured the bowl game’s major sponsors such as Under Armour, ESPN, Miami Beach, Miami Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute, Visit Florida, Trimention, The City of Miami, Lowes Miami Beach Hotel, and Intercontinental Hotel just to name a few.
At the end of the 2016 Miami Beach Bowl, Tulsa beat Central Michigan by 45 points with the final score at 55-10. OAI was pleased to be part of another great event as both a community partner of the Miami Beach Bowl and board member of the Miami Dade Sports Commission.
