OAI Visual Branding Creates Branded Graphics To Decorate Tampa Riverwalk For College Football Playoff Events
Working with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and Infinite Scale, OAI created environmental graphics and branding to decorate the Tampa Riverwalk for the 2017 College Football Playoff events. The project required OAI to produce and install temporary exterior graphics that would feature the College Football Playoff brand’s colors and images, as well as the associated sponsors and partners.
The process began with OAI and Tampa Bay Sports Commission surveying the Riverwalk for available branding opportunities. After the initial walk through, OAI created a deck with the branding options and recommendations for signage medias. Once the Sports Commission made their selections, OAI preformed a formal site survey to the determine measurements, applications and pricing. These branding areas included light poles, sidewalks, railways, building sides and support columns.
To brand for the various areas for College Football Playoff, OAI needed the signage to withstand the elements and survive thousands of people visiting Tampa Riverwalk. OAI’s printing expertise was used to ensure all visual communications provided a consistent look regardless of being printed a variety of medias and installed on a variety of applications. This was achieved by OAI utilizing high end spectrometers in production to validate medias and create custom profiles.
For way finding signage, OAI utilized windjammers and sidewalk PSA to direct the traffic to their various destinations. The railway covers, column signs and pole banners were made of vinyl banners that were securely fastened to the light poles. The columns and rails signs were securely zip-tied handle rain and wind. The event also showcased sponsors using bow flags on the railings and speak mesh on the building sides.
Overall the event utilized 89 floor decals, 19 teardrop bow flags, 450′ wide ramp banner, 919′ of railing signs, 120 pole banners and a 30′ wide by 49′ tall wallscape. The graphics transformed the landscape and were viewed by tens of thousands of people. This amount of exposure allowed the College Football Playoff organization to gain more impressions and further promote their brand, as well as its partners.
