Tampa company OAI created many of the Bolts signs you’ve seen hanging above the Tampa Bay area.
As the Lightning make a run for the Stanley Cup, OAI’s seen increased demand. “It’s definitely made it busier,” sales manager Crystal Richardson said.
Turnaround times have had to shrink to one or two days to get the big blue signs on the streets, where they hang on walls, including a parking garage, hotel and side of the convention center in Downtown Tampa.
“The further we go in playoffs the more we continue to get, which is really exciting for us, but it’s also exciting because we get to see all these graphics in the community that everyone gets so excited about,” Richardson said.
OAI makes banners and signs for the Lightning to display at Amalie Arena, as well as others seen around Tampa Bay. The signs – which feature a specific Pantone shade of Bolts blue – can be made of fabric, vinyl or vinyl mesh and can stretch as long as requested, Richardson said.
“You can seam anything together so it’s really limitless,” she added.
